Para practicar Ala Delta se necesitan las siguientes cosas:
El ala delta se sirve de:
Ala Delta: hay de muy diversos tipos (a la hora de elegirlo hay que tomar en cuenta la persona, la altura, etc.). Es una superficie de tela muy amplia, con forma de delta, y parte de lugares elevados para planear. Está sustentada en una estructura de aluminio en cuyo centro va suspendido el piloto por medio de un arnés y normalmente adopta una posición de tendido, dirigiendo el ala delta por medio de cambios de posición pendular con lo cual desplaza el centro de gravedad. En áreas sin montañas, se suele usar más el arnés motorizado que cuenta con una estructura metálica muy ligera. El arnés se engancha al planeador de manera acostumbrada y se utiliza la propulsión de su hélice para despegar y encontrar corrientes ascendentes de aire y planear normalmente.
Ropa adecuada: mono, traje especial, etc. (Todo depende de las condiciones en las que se realice)
